St Albans-based experimental band Kill The Giants mixes different genres like EDM, metal and world music alongside their love of B-rated movies and science fiction. They have already been championed by the likes of John Kennedy from Radio X and Steve Lamacq from BBC 6 music.
See our exclusive interview with them below:
What are some of your earliest memories of music?
We are sentient AI beings created from the imagination of human folk we are programmed to receive.
Take us through your songwriting process. Are there any particular steps you take when putting music together?
The album we have recorded is a concept album about a world controlled by sentient AI beings it is about freedom and the future which is ours to grasp but we need to free ourselves of all the bullshit and manipulation in today’s society.
Studio work and music creation or performing and interacting with a live audience, which do you prefer?
We are a studio interfacing AI bot of a band we would have to materialize as holograms in order to perform.
What is the most memorable response you have had to your music?
A reviewer said it was like listening to 2 separate radio stations at the same time which is kind of cool.
If you could put together a radio show, what kind of music would you play?
It would be poetry, philosophy and classical music to soothe our plugged in should we need to free ourselves from the online madness, unfortunately, COVID 19 is making this worse as people are becoming conditioned to accept this as normal life.
Name five artists and their albums who would appear on your radio show
Billie Jo Spears, Jarvis Cocker, Qube, The Boy From Space & Mealnie Martinez.
What would you like to achieve with your music? What does success look like to you?
If someone heeds our message and warnings then it will be programmed completed thank you and stay free –
One last thought to leave your fans with?
We live in a formless substance and we can use this substance to make what we want from our lives.
